Every now and then, Inter Sluice get a call from various types of people (salons, hospitals, hotels, schools, etc.) asking us about the differences and pro’s/con’s between in-house laundry equipment and commercial laundry equipment. There is definitely a difference and fortunately it only takes a few simple questions for you to decide if you should turn to using a commercial laundry service like us!

Do you have quite large loads to run?

If yes, a commercial laundry service is the way to go! There are some larger capacity residential washers available for you to purchase and use in-house but our commercial washers can handle even larger loads.  Plus, our equipment will keep running at full speed for years to come making our service extremely reliable.

Do you run your washer all day, every day?

Residential washers are designed to handle the demands of family/personal laundry. Even if the laundry is done all in one day that usually averages out to a load or two a day per week. Commercial washers are designed for the pressures of washing all day, every day for a very long period of time. They are also designed to be serviced, which is much more cost effective than a replacement.

How often can you afford to replace the washer?

Commercial washers are designed for continuous use and you shouldn’t ever be even thinking about a replacement. They are more expensive than home style washers might you, but you will get so much use out of them. If there is ever a problem, they can be serviced quite easily and quickly so in the long run, you should consider shouldn’t have to replace the washer as frequently plus commercial laundry equipment is designed to be serviced quickly and easily. We had one customer recently that was purchasing a new home washer every year because it couldn’t stand up the pressure of constant use. This shouldn’t be a worry for you though if you considered a commercial laundry service like Inter Sluice! We’ll do it all for you quickly and easily.

Save Drying Time

Commercial dryers have larger drying cylinder sizes, higher airflow, and higher BTU ratings all of which help to reduce drying time and increase the efficiency of the laundry process. No matter how big your load is, we ensure you that the process will be quicker than you expect. A typical home dryer can take an hour to dry a load even after a high speed extract. The same load can be dried in less than half the time in a commercial dryer.

Conclusion

If you run a wash/dry cycle a few times a day/week you should highly consider letting Inter Sluice do the work for you. In the long run you’ll save time (our machines are twice as fast as your average personal machine) and money (we only charge for the service, not the equipment) and also you’ll never have to worry about how it’s all going, we do that for you!
